So, my mother and I now have a tradition which includes inviting the women in our lives over for a breakfast party. There is a catch..you HAVE to wear a costume (showgirl theme, arabian nights, it gets switched up). I can't wait because its always so much fun. Its especially fun to see my grandmother for example in spandex, feathers, and a wig! The party will not be for a while (when the weather is nicer...I know I keep mentioning weather in all my postings!). I will be posting pictures of it when the grand event arrives :)
In the meantime i'll give you guys a sneak peak at one of the costumes...again I did a Barbie posting yesterday and its funny because today I actually LOOK like Birthday Barbie!!
This dress was snagged at Value Villiage for $9.99 and will become a part of the "party chest" (my mom started it and its FILLED with costume pieces, dresses etc)
p.s. there is one special vintage showgirl dress (crystals and all!!) that I will be posting when the party date is here (this is the one I picked specifically for ME).........

okay that dress is awesome and your breakfast parties sound amazing, i'm so jealous.
I have one of those every year but it's a halloween one, and we carve pumpkins and eat halloween cupcakes and you HAVE to wear a costume :) So fun, and I love the dress. It looks like something the fabulous Betsey Johnson would make. :)
