Although Im not wearing a scary outfit this Halloween (actually I rarely do).. (I usually like to channel some other era altogether....this hallows eve im a 20s showgirl :P)...Just thought I'd share it with you... I could not actually go out anywhere (due to my crazy school schedule)...but I still dressed up (even if it was just to give out some candy!). I love the thought of having one day where you can dress up as anything you want- be anything you want sans judgment...For those of you that have been reading my blog from the start....this was the dress I picked up at a thrift store and was super excited about (its actually pretty old and the crystals on it are GORGEOUS....all hand placed!). I bought it for $20 and it still had the original price on it (probably from some vintage/costume shop for $200!)...The hat is from Salvation Army and cost me $3. It all just went together so well =) Back to work!Hope you guys enjoyed yourselves and partied it up on my behalf! ;)

i wrote you a while ago about thrifting in the Toronto area.. and i did visit a goodwill but it didn't go so well. The smell of the store made me feel really quesy after.. I think i just need to start with vintage stores (like the ones you mentioned on queen street) and then slowly drift into thrifting... but nonetheless, you find the most awesome finds and I for one, am so jealous! hah
It might not be scary, but it's cool :)
I dressed up just to give out candy too. :)
I've been on a non-official hiatus lol, i've just been so rediculously busy with school that I haven't been able to update. But i will be back in full force ASAP.
I was really depressed to find out that I was invited to the bloggers breakfast and i missed it - I would have loved to have been there.
And as for the book, I went to the Eaton Centre after class to Indigo thinking they would FOR SURE have it. I was sadly mistaken. I still don't have it! I'm going to try Chapters tommorow. I'll let you know once I pick it up, but it looks like I might have to order it online. :(
<3 love this dress, leave it up to you to find the most unique pieces!
