Obsessive Relationship with a new Mania

My Boots!! I found these last weekend while thrifting and was ecstatic! While flipping through the latest issue of Fashion (canadian mag), again, I found myself lusting a pair of over-the-knee boots HOWEVER the ones I wanted were just waaay out of my price range. Just my luck...I found these babies for a whole $12 (very good quality leather and mint cond.)!

AND I actually took these pics without/before checking the weather, looking outside or simply LISTENING to the rumbling thunder (in part because of my wonderful sound isolating head phones I put on while applying mascara :P) SOO mother nature trumps my style and now I must switch out of this skirt :s.....

I will leave you with a quote by Pablo Picasso :

"I do not seek, I find".

Apply this to thrifting- I NEVER go with expectations in mind because then I may just miss something that I did NOT seek....when shopping in department stores....yes...thrifting/vintage shopping---no....

My back-ordered AA tri-blend raglan came in the mail- You better believe im going to wear it to pieces :P

Starbucks, Clothing Show, Harajuku Lovers....Oh My!

Sundays are normally laid back and relaxed.Well, today was not a "normal" sunday. Started off the morning by meeting my best friend for some coffee and then headed down to the clothing show, courtesy of Connie from http://theoddgoods.blogspot.com/. Thanks again! I picked up another leather motorcycle jacket (since my old was one pretty tight fitted---kids size small...I might put the old one on eBay..we'll see) and a mint condition baby blue pink silk lined white fur trimmed belted jacket (mouthful!). The day started off with coffee and after studying a few hours downtown, ended with coffee after meeting with the beautiful S from http://modern-guilt.com/ (if you think she is beautiful in the pics she is even more gorgeous in person...with a personality to match...!) AND we may have a little something in store for you guys soon...BUT would'nt want to spoil the surprise.....
Again, I want to thank all of you for reading this blog and sticking with me..especially those who take the time to comment regularly or almost daily....you will never know how much this all really means to me!
Lastly, thank you to Grace for sending over some of the not-yet-released samples of the Harajuku lovers perfume! The powdery BABY bottle was my absolute fave considering I seem to have a serious obsession with body powder, talc, baby powder (whatever!). It has a light scent that is subtle and not too over-powering (i.e a la coco chanel...which I can't wear but I know is a classic and hit among many). There's five scents and the only way to find out which will suit you is to check it out yourself!......comes out in October

Brights Lights and City Nights

It's a lot of fun to walk around in heels and a sparkly dress and have old men wonder what the heck the occasion is and WHY on earth you would be dressed that way in a park?! Well truth is...le BF and I like to make our way to the lake every now and then and tonight was the perfect night...not too chilly and spitting just a little (which meant I was swithcing from my heels to my Marc wellies....again, the randomness in me :P). I could not wait to wear this sparkly goodness... AND lastly, the night just isn't complete without hitting up our daily (well three times a day actually) dose of caffeine. There are TONS of great places in Toronto so its never a prob!Someother stuff in between but I think its about time I hit the sac...

Well thanks to le BF for the great shots....he is a sweetie and takes almost as much pleasure in participating as I do preparing for these posts :P.....xxx ----------------->

Hope you all have a great weekend ....!!

what Im wearing:

Dress/shirt: Vintage
Skirt: F21 (its underneath...)
Shoes: Aldo
Purse: Vintage Chanel

Roberto Cavalli......

I Love your gloominess......it makes me rather happy

P.s. Rendezvous with le Bf later....you know what that means? Maybe convincing him into a little "photo shoot" ....I have a new..well Vintage... party dress smothered in sequins that I have yet to debut.....

....which should be coming your way tonight (or morning) depending where you are in the world!

Get Laced

My little man (bro) is sick and I just SUCK at using a tri-pod....so here I am in front of my closet doors attempting to reveal what it is that I chose to step out of the house in...:P...so here it is..very lace-y, very comfortable and just a littttttle bit scandelous. Well since this fall it seems that every mag seems to be continually ranting about lace...I thought i'd try it out...in my own way, that is, plastered to my legs (since I just won't let go of the leggings "trend", at least not yet!).
Yes and thats my wonderful cybershot cam...maybe when le BF frees up some time I can get some decent pics out to you guys with this beast (he's been really busy and im really proud of him- he's got his own little business/site thing going on right now).

p.s.
I have some GREAT new vintage/thrifted finds.
It involves crushed velvet, faux fur and a little store that went out of business EONS ago----> Simpsons (thats right...I tingle when I hear the name).
Post them soon peeps!

What i'm wearing:
Shirt: H&M
Brocade corset: thrifted
Lace leggings: H&M

AND in regards to the shoes: I wore the colin stuart studded ones (just picture it in your heads :P)

I Think Not!

So I didn't even really let you guys "digest" the boots yet before busting them out and deciding to wear them (which means I DEF can't return them now) AND posting them to my blog..in person! Well if YOU don't like 'em, I still LOVE 'em.. (even though I think these are seasons old...meh, classic and functional so its all good to me). I snapped these up before running off to my "Matrix molecules" class....fun stuff...yep...:P.....then I gotta RUSH back so I don't miss the juicy goodness that is 90210 later on tonight....

AND as per many of your requests....here are the tights...again...but much better quality pics so you can actually SEE them...
Happy Tuesday beautiful Peoples.....

wearing:
Shirt: ??
Skirt: Ella Moss
Tights: H&M (Ripped by...moi)
Socks: F21
Boots: Marc Jacobs
Purse: Vintage Chanel

oh and the Chanel tights (look to my previous post)...justified?...I think not! why? just look at the tights im sporting now...it'd be a horrible investment (if you call it that at all!)

Justified?

I just got my October issue of Fashion mag in the mail a couple days ago and noticed the ad on the back cover of these gorgeous two-toned tights...they reminded me of the AA version but a tad classier (the others kind of remind me of the joker...hmmm maybe for halloween :P). HOWEVER...although i'm now lusting these babies, I don't think I can justify spending $140 on these (esp. considering I rip all my tights after about a week :s)...BUT it did help me justify my new MJ booties purchase....for almost the SAME price...I got these------->

well almost like these--theyre actually leather (not suede like the pic) and have belt buckles up the side- also fur lined which make 'em perfect for the fall/winter.
I have a problem.
I know.

Hole-y Moley

so blurry----my camera is acting up...BUT you can still semi-see the shredded tights- again, the cheesegrater worked its magic! It made the most perfect holes in my tights that were going to be thrown out (they had a run in them so I figured,.....why not!). I actually wore this outfit to class and had a couple people compliment my "torn up" tights- Of course you can't see my oversize leather hobo in this pic which is too bad =( it def added the finishing touch :P.....

Shirt: Printed F21 shredded tee (its got a bunch of rips at the neck and sleeves)
Shorts: Thrifted
Tights: H&M
Boots: Vintage

Who the hell is Tim?

ok so Tim's advice is that if you lean over, and "oops" then its too short...DUHH!! But what baffled me was when he remarked that Kimberly's outfut was rife with "sexy cliches" which made it a bad choice in comparisson to Hayden's (girl to the right) "safer" look (im totally biased as you can see). Rather than Kimberly screaming "victim", I think she screams TOTAL confidence! I love it- and that bomber.....mmmmm.....then again, it IS people style watch.....what do they know about style :P.......what do YOU guys think?

Another Gloomy day....but the Birds seem Happy

Sunday morning started off with coffee at Tim Hortons with mama and the little bro and a quick wal-mart pit stop...that was where I snapped up a pic of the birds perched all in a row just chillin' on the roof top. Its been raining a heck of a lot here in Toronto but I don't mind that much because that means three things: 1. I get more wear out of my MJs, 2. I have to stay home and study 3. Late night movies with the door open while having the rain pour outside.... =) See its not so bad!
I bought the new collectors ed. issue of VanityFair at Wal Mart- I could'nt resist with that HUGE beautiful pic of Marilyn Monroe on the cover- can't wait to read the article which looks into the "secret files" of Marilyn...oh and yes those are my glasses perched on the edge :P
Shirt: AA Deep V xxs
Vest: Thrifted
Scarf: Winners
Jean: Thrifted (Love all the holes! My fave jeans now)
Shoes: Thrifted
Purse: Vintage Chanel

Rain Rain Rain-----all weekend long!!!

So as you can see, the closet quickly filled up and im pretty much done organizing. I swear I think getting dressed now is actually HARDER since I can actually FIND everything and its all in plain view...now I can never make up my mind! Too many options...haha....as opposed to just grabbing whatever was on the floor from the night before and quickly sifting through the top items in my first dresser drawer...p.s. That is a vintage vodue nightie I found in mint condition and I LOVE wearing it to sleep- feels so silky =)....the outfit pic was taken by the little man in my life (my brother) and I think this was how the conversation went:
Ashleigh: Aaron im in a hurry, can you please take a quick picture?
A: But Im busy getting ready for school!
Ashleigh: Youre watching a cartoon....
A: Ugh.....Finee.....
My face is not the most joyous in this pic...haha..These last few pics have had some pretty horrible facial expressions....but as you can see.....my bro was a little "busy" so this one had to do :P
Shirt: Urban
Jacket: Sirens (so cheap...$10 I think?)
Scarf: Old Navy
Jeans: AE thrifted
Bag: AE thrifted
Boots: Marc Jacobs

Love you AA <3

So I just bought these two items on the AA site because of course they "tease" me with these 15% off promotion codes (for the Caadians its Canada15 and valid until Sept. 30). I have been eyeing the tri-blend raglan for some time and finally caved for this beauty which I think, will work its way from autumn to Winter to Spring. I bought it in Large....might be too big :s...uh oh ...I hope not, I wanted it to be really loose though...I hope I don't "drown" in it! and the body suit...maybe to wear under it....mmmm cant wait to wear it with my leopard leggings.....

ANDDD....I FINALLY have another outfit post for later =) ...I'll be posting it later on at night (toronto time :P)

Why can't I get my hair to look like that!!

Second photo = Pure Love <3>
I used to have long hair like Sienna before we both decided to chop it all off! Here is a little pic of my "old" 'do...
and yep, thats me eating at one of my fave sushi places...im addicted :s (along with my coffee...haha)

I have been so behind on posting (just because I have been so busy with school (first week there is always some catching up to do) and also renovations (closet, library, etc). Hopefully tonight I will get some decent outfit posts up =)….I feel like I’ve been missing out on so much in the blogosphere and its only been a few days! Haha…..I will be checking all your wonderful updates this weekend …xox

It's Almost Done....

So these past couple of weeks my dad's been working on a new closet for my ever-expanding wardrobe...and its almost done! I must say I am very proud of his handy-man capabilities =)...Im still in the process of transferring clothes into my new closet (you can't tell from the pics but if you walk in, theere is a "mini-closet" within the closet where I store sweaters and bags). Its also got 4 sliding mirror doors which you can't see in the picture. The shoe organizers are really great and only cost $8 each at Ikea...I got rid of mounds of shoeboxes that were taking up way too much space...Well here's a little sneak peak :P........How do you guys organize your things??

P.S.. I will be replying back to comments mostly on the weekends because of my new school schedule and all (however I will try to keep my postings regular)....its just too hectic :s I swear I love all of you and especially those who take time to comment...Have a great day peeps!

Daily Dose of Joe

So this morning I decided to bring a little "punch" by busting out my print tights. I bought these so long ago and I could have sworn they made the "what-not-to-wear" lists....but meh, how many of us follow those "guides" anyways :P. It was kind of chilly and the monochromatic dress a little bland- so they felt like the perfect choice. As you can tell, again, im not awake yet in the pic and quite tired from closet-organizing (my new closet is ALMOST ready..can't wait to show you guys!). AND getting ready for school... start monday....i'll be in classes up to 9pm =(
Dress: Thrifted

Running With The Stars

As many of you already know, its the Toronto Film Festival which means my fave sushi place will probably be rammed tonight. We are still going to venture downtown and hey...maybe even run into some of the "stars" (apparently my fave sushi spot is also a celeb fave sushi spot..according to the wonderful wall of fame..). Im wearing my rainboots in the pics because its supposed to pour...I know I look pretty boring but I hope to be getting some more exciting pics out this weekend...this is just a little pre-rain, pre-sushi post :P Happy Friday Guys!!

Dress: F21
Shorts: Abercrombie (thrifted)
Jacket: Vintage
Purse: AE thrifted

Make-up Spree....

So yesterday after dinner with my girlfriends I went on a little bit of a "rampage" and got a bunch of makeup to add to my "ever-growing" collection. Here's a little peak...I'm also actually looking for a good moisturizer (my skin is quite dry) so if any of you have one that you would highly recommend....message me!

Sorry for the crappy polyvore collage- it's my first one!

Im Blue...dabadee dabada

Blue is not my favorite color however...the cut and style of this dress made by Gap made me reconsider incorporating it into my wardrobe. It is actually a longer dress however I liked it scrunched up with my F21 dress worn underneath to give it fullness. I think I might wear this again tomorrow for dinner with some of my girlfriends (we're having a little get together just before school starts to catch up on each others lives since we've all been so MIA). ......G'night Girlies and Gents! Gotta get some sleep so I can wake up bright and early to feed my caffeine addiction...... vanilla latte...yummmm...

1859

The view from our room which was 18th floor and room 59...I loved how the room had a huge glass window with a swivel door to admire the awesomeness of the niagara falls. There was so much that went on that weekend but I won't bore you with details...i'll just leave you with these few pics...i'll be getting some outfit posts coming your way soon...oh, and if you have not noticed, i've grown very fond of the VS booties that I had previously "judged". They turned a lot of heads when paired with my black lame leggings and loose ruffle tee at the casino ;) ....
Booties: VS
Shorts: Thrifted cut offs (finally..at the END of summer)
Shirt: H&M

90210

8 pm tonight you know where i'll be...sitting in my basement on my couch (where my new closet is being built (courtesy of my papa..he's quite a handy man)....so excited and can't wait to show you guys the end result!) with my bowl of french vanilla cookie dough ice cream...and my 90s mickey mouse scrimmage shirt (you know, to commemorate the "old' 90210 crew).
