Lightening Touch

#1= The Body Shop Lightening Touch
Co$t= $14
#2= YSL Touche Eclat
Co$t= approx $50
After reading many reviews on both products and desperately needing a new on-the-go concealer I decided to give both products a try. There is a huge price difference between the two products so..... it would make logical sense to see a huge difference in the quality. As with many products with fancy packages- this was not the case. I actually preferred the Body Shop product just because it did not make me look as "dewey". It has light reflecting pigments and covers up fine lines and dark circle and I love the twist brush ... perfect for my "on-the-subway" makeup routine!

Hey you,
I am so glad you did this... I've been debating if I should buy the YSL concealer.... since people always make such a big deal about it. I usually do not use any concealers but want to pick one up just in case...The Body Shop Concealer, is it light or thick? and What do you mean by "dewy"? ... sorry, for so many questions, haha .. just trying to make up my mind, lol, as to what to buy.

Have you tried Benefit Erase Paste?I just reviewed it on my blog. I have the WORST under eye circles known to mankind and that concealer is almost a miracle worker.

I tried Touche Eclat once in an airport duty free shop and sadly my circles it could not mask.

hi loves!!!

after a few months i have to admit- the ysl is not doing its job anymore. i find it more of a highlighter than a concealer , and doubt i would spend the money again.
luckily i got it off ebay for cheap!!!

i must check this one out!

Hi! I always wanted to try the ysl concealer but I thought it realy must be that expensive because of the packaging. And ysl touche eclat is probably more a highlighter than a concealer. Since I know you use Loreal mascara, did you try their bruch concealer? I'm using this one and it works for me!

Marta: It is light I would say but not so light that if you have some red spots (as I do) that they come through...I like to put that on and then a light powder over it...magic ;)
and by Dewy I mean it leaves a sort of wet-shiny look on my face which is what highlighters are for as many people also mentioned. Try it out- they have testers at the body shop!

wanderlusting: You rock and im glad you commented about it..I really love Benefit products so I will def check it out...

Zurich: Yea thats why I like the body shop one better..have not tried the brush concealer...thats prob because they never have testers with the drugstore brands so I always buy the wrong shade..now I just stay clear..I end up wasting more money trying to figure out which is for me :s...lol
