Smokey Eyes

I need to invest in a serious little palette to perfect the smokey eye look that I will probably attempt for Valentines day ... I also need to get a few good brushes....any suggestions? I was thinking of buying a MAC palette and then just filling in similar colors to the above Stila ones...also, i've heard crazy things about the Urban Decay primer potion in champagne...I'll let you guys know how that goes! I would also love to know which products you "cant live without"...

The primer potion is really really great! It makes you eyeshadow go on darker and also makes it last. Only problem is the packaging as you probably know. You'll need to cut open the tube to get the rest of the primer out. The tube is kind of rounded so the contents tend to get "stuck" in there I guess.
I have some really nice smokey eye tutorials I posted before.
All you realy need is a black shadow and grey/silvery one. and of course a brow highlighter, liner and mascara. :)
Mac has some great ones too as well as urban decay. Rimmel is also a good drugstore brand.

I was browsing Sephora recently and I saw there was a pallet for making smokey eyes called "the smokey eye kit" and it included the brush and probably instructions to achieve the perfect smokey eye. I can''t remember the specific name, but if you go to the store I am sure you will find it.

Mac: carbon and Urban Uecay: half baked are a good combo (most of urban decay's makeup makes an awesome smokey eye). Lorac: serenity and Sephora: chrome no 9 are also a good team. The primer is always a good idea (and it works!)
