Skincare Products.....for you Lola ;)

As per request by one of my lovely readers .... I am doing a skin care post which I thought would be fun to do...

First off, Tea Tree Oil face wash by the body shop is a must for me. It helps prevent breakouts, disinfects and does not agitate my skin :) ...I use it every night after I have washed off any makeup that I may have been wearing throughout the day.
I ALWAYS remove makeup before going to bed...to do this I use an eye make up remover with the little white cleansing pads which cost about a dollar (buy them at dollarama..even cheaper than walmart!)...you can also use baby oil which I will try once this runs out.
After I was removed my makeup and clansed my face with the face wash I ALWAYS moisturize..this is a must! I use the Light Regenerating Night Care cream by Nivea (just looking at my grandmothers skin who is 75 will convert you to Nivea as well :P...she looks amazing!...maybe I will post a picture....). After that, I use an eyecream which is the Olay Anti-wrinkle eye cream and retails for about $10 I think? I really like this one because it dries fast and absorbs well.

For the mornings:
I use either Nivea Simply Glowing if I feel my skin needs a little kick ....OR my Vitamin E cream by the body shop for regular days - this one NEVER makes me breakout! If I wear foundation I like to use the BareVitamins skin Rev-er upper underneath which you can find at Sephora

Lastly, every couple of weeks....I usually use one of the Biore deep cleansing pore strips on my nose
My grandmother is 75 years old and this picture was just taken recently....she has been using Nivea skin cream and eyecream for about 50 years and to be honest.....she does not have that many wrinkles....she always kept telling me to use the cream....now I listen....now that I can understand its benefits....when you are young you usually dont start thinking about preventative measures

great post and tips!

just one tip: i used to use baby oil/olive oil for make up removal. i prefer olive oil since baby oil tends to dry up the skin.
but... when it comes to using oil vs. eye make up remover the specially formulated eye make up removers win. oil tends to leave too much grease behind and it can get in your eyes which is annoying.

it's good if you remove the make up then wash your face though.

Hope I look your grandma one day! I don't think I'll get too many wrinkles cuz I have a fat face and my mom looks pretty good for being 63 (you can see her on Wednesday's post on my blog :) - that said, I have been using anti-aging nightcream (Intervene) every night. Just kind of a battle because I break out so easily...

Thanks for doing this post! I hope my skin looks that good at 75! I'm definitely going to be picking up some Nivea cream, I've heard Marilyn Monroe use to use it too! I've started using olive oil to remove my makeup and my skin has really improved.

xoxo Lola

Do you wear sunscreen on the face as well or did you leave that out because you don't?
