Electric Feel

CN_Tower_struck_by_lightning

J and I planned on going out after work, maybe grabbing a bite and taking some photos. That idea was killed as I was riding the bus home , the sky turned almost white (no rain and just lightning)…then it started to POUR! I came prepared wearing my MJ rain boots but that didn't stop me from getting completely soaked… standing at the bus stop and wouldn't you know it…another car flies by what appeared to be a pool of water on the street and …you know the rest (oh and I was wearing white pants- thank gawd for the long loose T I was wearing)…during the walk home I thought I was going to get struck by lighting …quite scary….theres a tornado watch too…odd weather for Toronto in the summer :s

Talk to you all tomorrow….have a few exciting new finds..again.. :P …one of them includes Karl Lagerfeld..

I think I'm just going to organize my room, keep all the TVs off, take a vanilla bath and lay back with my magazines (this is my usual winding down ritual)...just picked up the Flare issue for $2….great cover!

Oh I no! This is craay. I got soaked and looked like a wet rat - and all I did was walk 50 feet to the car. Sorry you got drenched!

Oooh, can't wait to see the Lagerfeld!

I can completely empathize. I walk to and from my internship and got caught in a crazy downpour unexpectedly one day a couple weeks. By the time I got home it looked like I had taken a shower with all my clothes on.

Where do you find your higher-end finds? Do you find them at Value Village as well, or a higher-end consignment shop?

Yowza! That's scary, sorry you got soaked but at least you are okay! It's been raining like crazy here too but no lightning yet!

Duuude, my power was out all night - from 10pm until 7am! That storm was insane and I'm 2 hours east of you!

How insane was that storm last night? I live kilometers away from Vaughan where the Tornado touched down. Apparently 4 tornados touched down within the GTA and Toronto. Effin crazy!

I like storms, but only if I'm inside and dry, watching them from there. Gutted you got soaked in this one, but it's a cool photo anyway! :)

These exciting finds you mentioned sound, well, exciting!

anon 9:21am - I find almost all my items at Value Village. I have a lot of clothes in general so I can afford to just look around with nothing particular in mind..many times I leave with nothing..but I go often enough to find some hidden treasures every now and then ;)....sometimes I shpop on Queen at places like 69Vintage...but rarely because i find them way overpriced.

anon 10:30am - I will try to do a post of the like in the future =) Great Idea, thanks!

Isabel- It was crazy, power didnt go out here but it did for a lot of my family members

Linda- We never think it will happen to us....it did..and it was chaos.I can only hope for the best for the people whose homes/lives have been severely affected by it. This is what some people have to live through every year I guess..its scary

Linnykins- I love storms too..just not when im caught outside :s
