The Clothing Show

IMG_5273IMG_5248 IMG_5249IMG_5240

The clothing show on Saturday here in Toronto was a lot of fun…..tons of cool booths with unique and one of a kind things as well as TONS of vintage items. I just picked up two hats….the one that I am wearing in the first/2nd picture… second picture I was asking J for his opinion so I look a little funny…haha….It was $24 but I was really debating so I asked the lady if she would take $20 ….she agreed and thus it made its way into my closet…I was going to leave it if it was any more than $20 although it still would have been a great price…I just have a hard time paying vintage store prices when I find a lot of great stuff out thrifting for a quarter of that price….nonetheless, it is still a lot of fun and the selection is obviously a LOT better! I also bought a crazy hat from The Fairies Pyjamas which also have a boutique in Kensington Market….It is a little odd…but that's why I like it…J loved it and convinced me to get it…kind of looks like a fairytale creatures hat…it is more for winter…can’t wait to show you! The fashion show was cute…most of it was not really my style but I we took a shot of one of the dresses we thought was really interesting…super bright and made of a lot of different materials….overall, it was a fun experience and I would go again…definitely!

Ended up on Queen st today …went to Portobello Market to look at some cool photography and handmade jewellery….and ended up on college eating nutella and banana crepes with ice-cream…getting ready to wind down with an old school movie…Hope you all had a great weekend!

Hey you :)

Looking wonderful and the hats are so cute. Thanks so much for letting me know about the clothing show, I've actually went to it about 2 years ago and found it a bit overwhelming. However, I will definitely give it a chance next year.

By the as for fashion week, I plan on going only of Friday for few shows and Muzik...otherwise I am packed with school work. I e-mailed the rep and she said that $75 media pass gets you access for an entire week (no seats guaranteed) or$20 per individual show (no seats guaranteed). I think it's going to be an interesting experience, and totally worth checking out.

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend :)

love the hat! Sounds like you had fun...I want banana crepes with nutella! Too bad you can't find crepes anywhere over here.

Great finds! The key to bargaining/negotiating prices is to not show you're partial to a particular piece. .. otherwise they won't take your offer because you really want it... it's what I learned in Chinatown in Toronto. lol
