Toronto Fashion Week

Hey guys! So today was my first time being at Fashion Week and although this is no NY or Paris, it was a great experience and a lot of fun! I even got to do a little thing for Cosmo Television on wardrobe malfunctions (and let me tell you, I am definitely not a camera person..I came out looking so awkward and think I got semi tongue tied…haha).

Paul Hardy (pictures above) was by far my favourite collection/show. The outfits were not complicated but each had its own unique detailing to it. The blazer with the “fish scaled” futuristic shoulders isn't an entirely new idea but regardless, it caught my attention and clearly that of many other onlookers! The buzz today was all over Paul Hardy. I would definitely love to rock one of these looks (cough cough…the blazer….umm Mr Paul, should you have one lying around)

Reva Misvagar’s show was interesting as well… a lot of blue, white and tons of bead detailing. Although I am not a huge fan of blue, I did like this very girly, beaded ballerina looking little number (just not the neckline….too high cut, I think a lover scoop would have been nicer, at least in my opinion). I also had to take a picture of this model because she was by FAR the most professional, had the greatest catwalk ever AND wasn't afraid to smile at the crowd/camera. She just exuded confidence and most people in the room just couldn't help being mesmerized.

Lastly, Lovas by Wesley Badanjak finished off the night for me (I was supposed to go to KT and Sculptz but was way too tired to make it and still had to grab some dinner) and I am sad to say, but this one did not do it for me. The clothes were very girly, very pretty but nothing unique at all! I can pretty much sum up the collection as my work wardrobe give or take a couple dresses. It was still a very fun show to watch and it was great to have Charmaine to accompany me (she trooped it out even though she is buried in work with exams and all). We both agreed that the eye candy was a pretty sweet finishing touch! Oh and the caramelized pop corn that they handed out in the cutest little carry out bags…mmm…I needed a sugar kick, I was dying of hunger…

I will be back soon with some more coverage! XOX

That guy on the right doing the interview looks like Lloyd from "Entourage".
