If no one will buy you flowers, buy them for yourself

IMG_6856 IMG_6859 IMG_6865

J and I both had the day off today … We started off the day by eating breakfast at The Purple Onion on Bloor Street (cute place and great prices) … eggs, bacon, ham, eggs, toast and coffee are a great start to MY day ;) … We had to return a few things at Winners …where I ended up picking up the Lolita Lempicka perfume that I have been WANTING so bad for $25!! It is the Forbidden Flower perfume and comes in a green apple bottle…OMG! This is my new love…seriously…. it verges on Vera’s territory …and we all know how much I love that perfume ….mmm vanilla….

Speaking of Vanilla… I am currently typing in my room…aka…Humble abode… and smelling the wonderful scent of my vanilla candle that i just picked up at Wal mart for $2 …pack of 15…pretty sweet if you ask me!

J and I also stopped by Kensington market so that he could pick up a few things that he needed… I then had the brilliant idea of passing by the Toronto Art Gallery …I am obsessed with all things ancient and Egypt and they have a great display going on right now…well apparently I am not the only one in Toronto who thinks this is an AWESOME idea….because it was all SOLD out … =(

Made our way back home where I helped my future mama in law shop for a new winter coat (and successfully found) , bought some last minute party food/drinks and had a nice cappuccino with fries (I know, oddball combo …haha)

Ps. It was FREEZING today in Toronto ... and this jacket is really standing up to the test! Its warm and chic ...which is hard to find in a puffy jacket...and now I can quit "borrowing" mama's!

To top off the day I am finishing up with a warm vanilla bath …candles (vanilla..) of course… and some late night sushi (my food of choice!)… the salad is pretty much finito so….umm…whatever is left over … probably while watching The Craft … its been a while…and when I say a while…I really mean a few weeks :p

Wishing you (my lovelies) a sweet night … xox

Every time you wear those boots I am so jealous!! Your outfits are always awesome.

I've just started blogging my outfits in the hopes that I can become a more stylish person, but I still have a looong way to go. Do you have any basic advice for fashion newbies?

anon 12:48 - I dont think so ... I got this jacket as a gift and it came from Pennsylvania (on sale at an outlet I think??) ..its prob discontinued... Maybe Vaughn Mills outlet store?

Ana- thanks girlie! I would have to say wear what makes you feel great and comfortable in your own skin...not what you think others will look great... put on a show for yourself.. ;)

anon 10:57 - first off....I love you for messaging me! secondly, great timing..I just got the email from UO and I was debating...but I think now I might need to make a pass at the UO on Yonge...uh oh!!

I LOVE the coat! It looks so cozy. Do your family and friends just know your style really well or are you very specific with your Christmas lists? LOL I'm just asking because I returned a LOT of clothes today. And the malls right now... Oy vey...!!!

Can't wait to see what you wear for NYE. I can't decide yet and probably won't until I am racing out the door!! Happy New Year :)

It makes me so happy to see that you're not the typical spend-happy materialistic 20-something while maintaining a well-kempt image. The fact that you shop at Winners and thift stores, proves that you can live through your 20s without debt but still with style and flair. I wish more girls would read your blog and realize that it doesn't take a lot to live stylishly.

anon 2:13 pm - I guess they do :p ...My mom always gets me great gifts (never had to return anything from the mama :P) and my dad usually consults with my mom...haha...J knows me pretty well ... at least you got actual gifts..someone took the time to choose you something rather than just sending you a gift card (which I think is nice!)

oh and in regards to my NYe outfit..simple with some sparkle bc it was a house party (wanted to be comfortable)

N: Awwww...enjoy when you take those breaks/time off at home ;)

anon 7:18 - awww trust me...I have TRIED and failed..lol..I dont know if you saw my test post..but you could hear my voice...but my lips/vid looked like they were on some CRAZY fast forward speed motion :s...I had to delete it .. I hope to try it again this year!

anon 9:34 - Thanks so much for leaving me a message =) and such a sweet one at that....yes, for me its not about the price tag...I shop EVERYWHERE from online, to thrift shops (my love), to retail (mostly sale)... I love hunting out bargains...and nothing thrills me more than to get compliments on a bag that I paid $3 for ;)

Carla- Thanks for your feedback and im glad you like it =)
