Hey guys! I have not fallen off the face of the planet … I promise… I have just been really busy with other things in life that I really have not had much time to do an outfit post … that and the fact that I have not been in the most particularly interesting outfits …. and by that I mean, I have been living in my Wilfred Free sweats and a plain white tee upon my arrival home from a long day in the office!
One thing I wanted to share with you was this new “trend” which I guess I have been following for some time .. haha .. considering I have not been to the hair dresser in a while … which was not so much on purpose .. but I HAVE been wanting to let my hair relax and grow out for a bit… I love the idea of using a transition colour close to your natural shade at the roots to help it grow out a little more evenly. Now, I tried doing this at home and cannot say its extremely successful because my roots have a little reddish tinge which I am hoping will fade a little more … but it is less harsh than my dark brown roots so I think I like it. Another way to do it if your hair is all one colour…. you can get an at home kit (I like Nice n’ Easy by Clairol) a few shades lighter than your natural colour and dye it from the ends to about ears/nape of the neck … if you want to save money/budget… otherwise, I am sure most hair salons are on top of the trend and can help out!
I personally love this low maintenance look … I think if you have a laid back or more eclectic style.. it just fits!
What do you guys think? Sloppy? Love it? Hate it?

Personally, I have a hard time embracing my roots when the red highlights/lowlights begin to grow out, only because I feel like my hair looks weird and sloppy. Maybe it's because I chose to go into the red territory, but I do like the look with blond and light shades such as yours :)

I love it! Rachel Bilson is rocking the ombre style, too and it looks so good on her!
This is what I am hoping to get my hairdresser to do to my hair
Oh I do love it! Jessica Biel was sporting the same look, brought it to my hairstylist, he's like - NAH!

That's exactly the way my hair looks right now!
I like it, but I think you must be careful not to let your roots grow very long, otherwise you'll end up looking sloppy!

This trend is hard to pull-off. Drew does it perfectly, but I don't know so much about the others...
I tried out the ombre hair trend and even wrote an article on it! {article here:: http://esvie.co.uk/misc/ombre-in-a-big-way/}
It's already grown out (reds fade fastest), but it was a fun look for a bit! :) {my hair here:: http://www.ravingfashionista.com/?p=1182}
