Hey guys! I am very excited to share this post with you because this product is something I have been wanting … well not THIS one specifically … but originally I had wanted the Clarisonic which I heard is an amazing tool to help get your skin really clean – right down to those nasty little pores! The only downfall … its hefty price tag .. at $200 its not something that comes cheap to add to your daily face regime. When I heard about the Olay “dupe” that was less than one fifth of the cost …. I started to do a little “research” … especially because I really like Olay's line of skin products … its a brand that has not really let me down as some others have in the past.
I want to start by saying that this product was not sent to me and it is something that I purchased with my own money.
I found it on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart for 15% off (I think the sale runs all week – check the flyer!) and 3,000 bonus shoppers points which was great :). It ended up costing $27 and $10 for the pack of replacement heads (comes with two in a pack). The brush is supposed to last about 3 months before you need to change it which is the same as the Clarisonic brush – however, the Olay brushes are a lot cheaper and … softer so I think it should be ok for people with very sensitive skin. I have used it a few days already and already love this little product! I feel like after I wash my face with my makeup wipe, when used with my tea tree oil cleanser … it really gets my skin clean down to the pores. My skin really feels a lot better after using it and just that in itself makes it worth it for me … that means that my lovely night cream products will also absorb better into my skin! It is also very small so its perfect for travel (unlike the Clarisonic – even their “travel” sized model is quite large) and waterproof so it can be used in the shower if you are pressed for time in the morning. The brush head spins as opposed to vibrate which is what the Clarisonic does … it also has two speed settings – a slow one and a faster one (I like the faster setting).
The only real downside that I can think of is that it is battery powered – so some might argue that it could potentially end up costing you as much as its older cousin (the Clarisonic…haha). If you invest in a set of rechargeable batteries … then no,it shouldn't as well as when you consider the fact that the brush heads alone are about 1/5th of the cost. I will continue to use it and give you guys a “skin update” if you want … but for now, I just wanted to let you know about the new little “baby” that has made its way into my skin care regime - I am very happy thus far :)
Let me know if you guys have tried this or have the original Clarisonic!

Ooh I have always wanted to try the Clarisonic, but it is way too expensive. This looks almost exactly like it! I will have to check it out
very good to know...my sister and I are dying for Clarisonic! Hope all is well :)
I have the Clarisonic Mia and I love it! (I'm actually preparing a post on it right now!) It was expensive so I asked for Sephora gift cards at Christmas and once I had enough $$ I bought it and it was totally worth it. It's great though that Olay has come out with something similar and more affordable, glad to hear you love it!
Hey!! Sorry I never responded to your comment on my blog. When this post showed up in my feed I was like, 'Oh crap!! I never wrote back!'
I haven't used either, I'm lucky if I wash my face with basic soap at night. lol. I'm glad you are liking it though!
I ran out to buy this after I read your post and mostly because I wanted to take advantage of the 15% off at Shoppers!
So far so good except the battery part was SO hard to take off and I'm not sure if I got a defective battery or something but when I took out the battery, it was gooey... so I'm going to take it back and see if I can exchange for a new one.
One thing that does concern me is that what if they discontinue it since a lot of drugstore products do, then we'll never be able to find replacements! :(
But thanks for the suggestion! So far it's made my skin soft and less dull :)
I had also been wanting the Clarisonic so I was thrilled when Olay came out with their version. I've always had good luck with Olay products too, so I definitely trust their development team. I am in love with this little thing!!
I was saving for the clarisonic mia and when i saw this Olay one i decided to try it out since it was much cheaper. I've had it for a little less than a month and my skin is so much better. It gets really clean and I like to use it with my St. Ives Green Tea cleanser (which I highly recommend) or the Olay pro-x scrub that comes with the brush. My pores are so much smaller and my skin is smooth and never gets oily at the end of the day anymore. I'm not sure how the Olay brush compares to the Clarisonic but this Olay brush has been working great for me! Good luck!
thanks so much for reviewing this product. the clarisonic is way too expensive for me, and i've been curious to see how the olay one would work!

The pro-x products are amazing! I'm still aging but at a way slower pace and my skin feels amazing. the night wrinkle smoothing cream, just buy it and use it all the time. awesome awesome awesome
It definitely sounds like a neat thing to try... will check it out!

I have the Clarisonic and am obsessed with it. My skin has always been clear, so I was weary about spending the money on it. I'm so glad I did because it is so much smoother now!
Since I always talk so greatly about it, my boyfriend was intrigued to try it but didn't want to spend the money. So he bought this Olay system and LOVES it! I heard that it was just as great as the Clarisonic. And the price is so much better!
Love your blog! XO
